The minimum temperature for root elongation is 6℃, and the minimum temperature for root hair generation is 12℃. Fertilized fruits can develop normally when the night temperature is 8-10℃.

The light intensity requirement is moderate, and it can tolerate weak light, but insufficient light can easily cause leggy growth. In terms of photoperiod, it is a short-day plant. Long-day conditions are conducive to stem and leaf growth, and short-day conditions are conducive to fruiting earlier.

【humidity】

It likes moisture and is not drought-tolerant. The soil should be kept moist, especially during the fruit-bearing period, to obtain high yields. Viral diseases are prone to occur under high temperature and drought conditions; however, high temperature and high humidity can also easily cause powdery mildew.

【soil】

It is not very demanding on soil and can be cultivated in sandy soil, loam and clay. Loam with a deep soil layer is more likely to produce high yields.
