What diseases can lentils treat? What are the folk remedies for lentils?

White lentils are not only edible but also a very good medicinal material. They can be used to treat diseases. So let me tell you about the prescription of white lentils:

1. Treatment of edema:

Fry an appropriate amount of lentils until they turn yellow, grind them into powder, and bottle them for later use. Adults take 9g each time, and children take 3g each time. Take it with decoction of rush before breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day.

2. Treatment of diarrhea:

30g of lentils and 50g of mung beans, cook them into porridge and eat them on an empty stomach. 30g of lentils, add appropriate amount of water into the pot, boil it into lentil soup, and drink it as tea.

3. Treatment of snake bites:

Appropriate amount of lentil root and white wine (water). Add white wine (water) to a coarse porcelain bowl or mortar, and grind the lentil root until the color turns brown. Take one glass of wine each time, 3 times a day.

4. Treatment of leucorrhea:

Boil an appropriate amount of lentils in water and drink it as tea.

5. Treatment of nephritis:

Put 50g of lentils into 250ml of water and boil until 100ml remains. Take one dose per day for seven to ten days as a course of treatment. After one course of treatment, take a second course two to three days later.

6. Treatment of cholera, vomiting and diarrhea:

6g of lentils, mash them and mix with vinegar for consumption.

7. Used to relieve heat and dehumidify:

9g of lentils, 9g each of Polyporus umbellatus, Poria cocos, and Atractylodes macrocephala, and 6g of Patchouli. Put lentils into 350ml of water and boil for 10 minutes, then add Polyporus umbellatus, Poria cocos, Atractylodes macrocephala, and Patchouli and boil until the volume reaches 100ml. Take once a day for three to five consecutive days.

8. Chronic hepatitis:

50g each of Chinese yam, bergamot, white lentil, 30g of barley malt, and appropriate amount of sugar. Cook porridge and add appropriate amount of sugar when eating. Suitable for patients with chronic liver disease who have poor appetite, abdominal distension, and diarrhea.

9. Strengthen the spleen and nourish the stomach:

15g each of white lentil and ginger, 0.3g each of loquat leaf, pinellia, ginseng, and atractylodes, and 1g of Imperata root. Grind the above herbs into coarse powder, decoct in water to remove the residue, add 3g of betel nut powder, and take it in four doses.

10. Summer heat and dampness dysentery, abdominal pain, tenesmus:

Eat 15 to 18g of lentil flowers with fried eggs.

11. Acute gastroenteritis, vomiting and diarrhea:

Fry white lentils and grind them into powder. Take with warm water, 12g each time, three to four times a day.

12. Heatstroke with fever, irritability, thirst, and difficulty urinating:

Take 30 to 60g of white lentils, boil them into soup, and drink it in two portions after it cools down.

13. Infantile malnutrition:

60g white lentil, 30g chicken gizzard lining, 20g black sesame, and 20g glutinous rice, fry them separately until they are charred, grind them into fine powder, take 5g each time, add sugar and salt water to make a paste, take two to three times a day.

14. Heat stroke:

100g mung bean, 30g soybean and 30g white lentil. Boil the three beans in water until soft, take the juice and add sugar or other seasonings to drink.

15. Leucorrhea, diarrhea:

Cook 100g white rice beans, 50g white lentils, 50g yam and 50g white sugar into porridge.

16. Oral thrush:

6g of rose, two slices of ginger, 6g of white lentil, decocted in water and taken once or twice a day.

17. Insomnia:

6g each of Gorgon Fruit, Coix Seed, White Lentil, Lotus Seed, Chinese Yam, Red Date, Longan, Lily, 150g of Rice. Boil each of the herbs for 40 minutes, then add the rice and continue to cook until it becomes porridge. Eat it in portions and adjust the sugar content. Eat it for several days.

18. Hypertension:

30g hawthorn, 30g white lentil, 50g brown sugar. Stew hawthorn and lentil together until crispy, add brown sugar and take once a day for three to four weeks.

19. Dysentery

15g of Gorgon Fruit, 12g of Codonopsis, 9g of Atractylodes, 12g of White Lentil, 12g of Chinese Yam, 11g of Coix Seed, decoct in water and take once a day.

20. Cold:

10g Elsholtzia ciliata, 5g Magnolia officinalis, 5g White lentil. Chop the Elsholtzia ciliata and Magnolia officinalis into pieces, fry the White lentil until it turns yellow and mash it. Put them into a thermos cup, brew with boiling water, cover tightly and soak in warm water for 60 minutes.

21. Congenital heart disease.

Peel 150g of cooked white lentils, add 3g of raw sun-dried ginseng powder and 150g of polished rice and cook into porridge. Eat regularly.

22. Thrombocytopenic purpura.

100g lentils, 20 red dates, wash and put into a casserole, add 50g crystal sugar, add appropriate amount of water, simmer for two hours over low heat. Take twice a day as a snack.
