Needle mushroom

The main manifestation is that the upper part of the fruiting body is pointed and the stipe is slightly thick and needle-shaped. The main reason is that the high concentration of carbon dioxide inhibits the growth of the cap.

The prevention and control method is: ensure good ventilation conditions, avoid opening the bags too late, and ventilate once a day after bagging.

Open the parachute early

The fruiting body has not yet fully developed and matured, but the cap is too large and opens prematurely. The main reason is related to the quality of the mushroom bag, and secondly, whether it is contaminated by bacteria and fungi. Thirdly, it is related to the air, light, humidity and temperature during the fruiting process. In addition, it may be caused by the low content of bran in the auxiliary material.

The prevention and control method is: strictly control sterilization and inoculation, coordinate air, light and humidity during the fruiting period, the fruiting temperature of general varieties should not be higher than 15℃, and the bran content should not be lower than 20%, so that the mycelium can be thick and the yield can be high.

Water mushroom

The so-called "water mushroom" refers to the fruiting body that is translucent as if it has been soaked in water and has almost no commercial value. The main reasons are: high temperature, large amount of water spraying, slow evaporation of water, and the water remains on the fruiting body.

The prevention and control measures are: the number of watering should not be too many, the air humidity in the mushroom house should be maintained at around 80%, and ventilation should be carried out regularly.

Base of stipe hairs connected

The amount of hairs at the base of the fruiting body directly affects the commercial value of Flammulina velutipes. The main reason is related to humidity and air.

The prevention and control method is to avoid the air humidity being too dry or too wet, otherwise it is easy to produce fuzz; in addition, in the young mushroom stage, it is easy to have excessive carbon dioxide and insufficient oxygen, so the oxygen content in the bag should be increased.

Side mushroom

The main manifestation is that the fruiting bodies do not grow from the surface of the culture medium, but mostly grow on the side walls of the bags. The main reason is that the culture medium is packed too loosely, and the culture medium is easily separated from the bag, which consumes nutrients.

The prevention and control method is: when bagging the culture medium, make sure it is consistent in tightness, and try to use a bagging machine to avoid the phenomenon of the bag being too loose.
