Corn silk tea benefits

The cellulose content in corn is very high, which can protect the stomach and intestines and promote gastrointestinal motility. Corn silk is sweet and flat in nature. Other nutrients can enhance human metabolism, adjust the function of the nervous system, make the skin tender and smooth, and inhibit and delay the formation of wrinkles.

In traditional Chinese medicine, corn silk tea is also called dragon's beard. It is sweet and mild in nature, and has a wide range of preventive and health-care uses. Since corn is wrapped in corn husks during its growth, it needs to rely on corn silk to absorb nutrients. Therefore, corn silk contains many vitamins and other nutrients. It can not only cool blood and relieve heat, but also remove dampness and heat in the body, and can promote diuresis and reduce swelling. After being made into tea, it is a good weight loss drink.

In traditional Chinese medicine, corn silk has a wide range of preventive and health-care uses. Chinese medicine believes that it can promote diuresis and reduce swelling, relieve heat, soothe the liver and promote bile secretion, and can also resist allergies and treat nephritis edema, hepatitis, hypertension, cholecystitis, gallstones, diabetes, sinusitis, mastitis, etc. Brew with boiling water

Drinking it instead of tea can relieve summer heat and clear away heat. Drinking it regularly can help lose weight and is very beneficial for preventing and treating atherosclerosis and hypertension. Patients with high blood lipids, high blood pressure, and high blood sugar can drink it to lower blood lipids, blood pressure, and blood sugar.

Corn silk has a very good blood sugar lowering effect. As long as the majority of diabetic patients use it a little, they can "turn waste into treasure". Corn silk contains a large number of nutrients and medicinal substances, such as tartaric acid, malic acid, bitter glycosides, polysaccharides, tail-sitosterol, stigmasterol, etc. Since ancient times, corn silk has been widely used in China. It is also recorded in "Southern Yunnan Materia Medica" that corn silk has the effects of hemostasis and diuresis. However, people's understanding of corn silk has always been limited to its diuretic and detumescent effects, but they don't know that it is also a good medicine for treating diabetes. In southern China, corn silk and lean pork are often used to cook soup to treat diabetes, which is recorded in "Lingnan Herbal Collection Records". In addition, many Chinese folk prescriptions also have similar contents, or use corn silk to soak in water for drinking, or cook corn silk into porridge for consumption, all of which have achieved good therapeutic effects.
