How to eat boiled edamame

1. Soak the edamame in water for an hour, then rub it with your hands to remove the hair on the skin.

2. Put the edamame into the pot and add water to boil. Pour in ginger slices, star anise, pepper, cinnamon, and five-spice powder, turn the water to medium heat and simmer for half an hour.

3. After cooking, cook over high heat for about ten minutes and then turn off the heat. Add some rice wine, which will prevent the edamame from turning yellow.

4. Marinate for another half an hour and you can eat it.

Tips

1. Don’t cover the pot when cooking edamame, otherwise the edamame will turn yellow.

2. If you want to eat tender and smooth edamame, don’t cook it for too long. We can try the taste from time to time. When there is no bean taste, it is the best time to remove it from the pot. The taste will be very good.
