However, many people still don’t know how to eat bamboo rice. Today, the editor will specifically introduce some ways to eat bamboo rice, so that everyone can understand how to cook it and how to steam rice.

How to cook bamboo rice

1. When cooking bamboo rice, the cooking method is similar to that of ordinary rice, but this kind of rice cannot be washed vigorously before cooking. It should be gently rinsed in clean water and put directly into the pot after being taken out. If it is rubbed vigorously, the active ingredients contained in it will be lost. However, if the water for washing rice turns green in large quantities during the rinsing process, it means that this kind of bamboo rice is fake and it is not recommended to be used for cooking rice.

2. When cooking rice, soak the bamboo rice in clean water for 2 to 3 hours in advance, so that it can absorb water and expand, which can make the cooked porridge taste better. Take it out after soaking and put it in the porridge pot, add clean water according to the proportion, heat it to boil, then simmer over low heat. Turn off the heat after the bamboo rice is fully cooked and soft, simmer for three to five minutes, take it out and eat it.

How to steam bamboo rice

1. When steaming bamboo rice, you can use the rice cooker at home. After preparing the rice, prepare five times the amount of clean water. After washing it clean, put it directly into the rice cooker and add the prepared clean water. Cover the rice cooker, then turn on the power to let the rice cooker work. After it stops working, cut off the power. After about 20 minutes, the rice inside will be steamed and you can take it out and put it in a bowl and eat it with your favorite dishes.

2. If you don't have an electric rice cooker at home and want to steam rice with bamboo rice, you can also use the electric rice cooker or pressure cooker at home. When steaming rice in an electric rice cooker, you need to add an appropriate amount of water to it and apply an appropriate amount of sesame oil on the bottom of the rice cooker. This can prevent it from sticking to the pot and make the steamed rice taste better. When steaming bamboo rice in a pressure cooker, you need to put the rice in a stainless steel basin, add an appropriate amount of water, and then put it in a pressure cooker to steam it. After the high-pressure valve of the pot is opened, you need to adjust the heat to low and steam it on low heat for about half an hour, and the rice in the pot will be steamed.
