1. Preparation of materials for whole grain porridge

Whole grain porridge requires whole grain rice, red beans, black beans, lotus seeds, dried dates, raisins, wolfberries, walnuts and oats. Other ingredients that need to be prepared include purple sweet potatoes and yam.

2. How to make whole grain porridge

Step 1: Wash all the ingredients thoroughly. The lotus seeds can be extracted and the lotus core can be removed.

Step 2: Put all the ingredients into a casserole and add eight times the amount of water.

Step 3: Cover the porridge with the lid and start cooking. Turn off the heat after the water in the casserole boils. Do not open the lid and simmer all the ingredients.

Step 4: After an hour, all the grain ingredients will be softer. Now turn on the fire again and start cooking the ingredients.

Step 5: Now let’s talk about purple sweet potatoes. Peel the yam and cut it into pieces. Wash the red dates and remove the cores. At the same time, cut the walnuts into small pieces.

Step 6: After opening the lid, put the above-mentioned materials into the casserole, stir all the ingredients in the pot, cover it again and cook.

Step 7: After the water in the pot boils again, you can turn off the heat and simmer all the ingredients for another hour without opening the lid.

Step 8: Finally, add some oats into the pot and boil it again to increase the viscosity of the porridge.
