In addition, millet contains a large amount of carbohydrates, which is very effective in relieving mental stress, tension, fatigue, etc. In addition, millet also has a high fat content, which is about 4 times that of rice. After millet is boiled into porridge, it is yellow and smooth, with a long aftertaste. It is fragrant and can nourish yin and replenish deficiency. There is a saying among the people that it can "nourish people". It is the most suitable tonic for the elderly, children and women.

How to make millet porridge

1. Wash the rice, boil cold water and add the millet;

2. After boiling, simmer on low heat;

3. When the rice grains are soft and the porridge is thick, turn off the heat and serve.

Tips

1. Add the millet after the water is completely boiled. This will not only make the porridge cook faster, but also prevent the bottom of the pot from getting sticky.

2. If you want the millet porridge to taste better, you can add white rice and glutinous rice to cook together. The millet porridge cooked in this way will be thick, fragrant and sticky. If you are more particular, you can also add oatmeal to increase the taste of the porridge. However, because oatmeal cooks quickly, you have to wait until the rice is cooked before adding oatmeal;

3. If you like sweets, you can add some rock sugar;

4. It is best not to use a pressure cooker to make millet porridge, because the millet grains are relatively broken and can easily clog the valve of the pressure cooker, causing some safety hazards.
