Steps to make soy sauce vegetable meatballs

I like eating meatballs the most, especially meatballs with soy sauce and seasonal vegetables. My mother often makes them for me. Today I will tell you how to make them.

How to make soy sauce vegetable meatballs

1. Ingredients: pork (the fat and lean part of the upper front leg), carrots, eggplant, king oyster mushrooms (other vegetables can also be used)

2. Wash and chop carrots, eggplants and king oyster mushrooms

3. Pour the chopped vegetables into a bowl, add a little salt and mix well. Let it sit for a while to kill some water.

4. Wash and drain the pork, peel and chop into small pieces

5. Squeeze out the water from the vegetables

6. Add cooking wine, salt, sugar and other seasonings to the minced meat and vegetables and stir well (don’t make it too salty, as you will need to coat it with sauce later. Don’t add too much minced vegetables, as too much will make the meatballs fall apart easily)

7. Make the minced meat into even-sized balls

8. Add some cooking wine to the dish and steam it in boiling water for about 7-8 minutes. (Adding some cooking wine to steam will remove the fishy smell and make the meatballs more tender.)

9. Add onion, ginger and garlic into the pan and sauté until fragrant

10. Add the sauce and stir well (you can add any type of sauce according to your preference. I use mushroom sauce and sweet noodle sauce. A few spoons of sauce is enough. Too much will make it salty)

11. Pour the steamed meatballs and the soup into the pot, cook over high heat until the sauce is absorbed, and stir-fry continuously. Make sure the meatballs are evenly coated with the sauce.
