Roses contain volatile oils, citronellol, nerol, eugenol, phenylethyl alcohol, quercetin, aromatic substances, tannins, waxes, fatty oils, organic acids, red pigments, tail-carotene, amino acids, and a variety of vitamins and trace elements. Roses are sweet, slightly bitter and warm in nature. They have the effects of regulating qi and relieving depression, harmonizing blood and dispersing stasis. The medicinal properties are mild, warm but not dry, and sparse but not damaging to yin. They are good at relieving the depression of the liver, gallbladder, lungs and spleen, and warming the heart, liver and blood vessels. They have a wide range of clinical uses.

The effect of rose porridge

Treats oligomenorrhea, abdominal pain due to blood stasis, irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, etc. 36 grams of rose flower powder is commonly used, and taken with rice wine. Twice a day, 56 flowers can also be steamed and taken.

For the treatment of leucorrhea with red and white discharge, which is sometimes clear and sometimes turbid, difficult to clear, or accompanied by fishy smell and vaginal itching, take 5 grams of rose flower powder and 15 grams of wild yam, steamed in water, twice a day.

For treating women's menopausal syndrome, autonomic nervous system dysfunction, hot flashes, sweating, irritability, insomnia and dreaminess, take 35g of rose powder each time, steam it with 30g of whole angelica, or take it with warm water. For treating abdominal distension and pain caused by blood stasis after sterilization, take 3g of rose powder and 3g of earthworm powder, take it with warm water, twice a day.

Liver, gallbladder and stomach pain:

For chest and flank pain, abdominal distension and pain, qi reversal, nausea and vomiting caused by qi stagnation, take 10 rose flowers steamed in water. For cold pain and hiccups caused by abdominal cold accumulation, take 35 grams of rose powder and 6 slices of ginger steamed in water, twice a day.

Dysentery:

For patients with dysentery, diarrhea with pus and blood and abdominal pain, take 35 grams of rose flowers and 12 grams of Sanguisorba officinalis, steamed in water and taken twice a day.

Chest pain:

That is, for chest pain caused by angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, myocarditis, and intercostal neuralgia in Western medicine, take 5.6 grams of rose each time, guided by rice wine, or take 30 grams of purple salvia miltiorrhiza steamed in water, or take 3 grams of rose powder plus Panax notoginseng powder.

Pulmonary tuberculosis, dry cough and hemoptysis:

Use 15 fresh roses and add appropriate amount of rock sugar, decoct in water, or use 5 grams of rose powder (ground) and warm water to drink, twice a day
