It is a common dish on people's tables. However, there are many kinds of mustard heads sold in the market. How should we choose them when we buy them? How can we buy good mustard heads? I will write down the specific methods of choosing mustard heads in a while, and also tell you how to store the mustard heads after buying them.

How to choose mustard tea heads and how to store mustard heads

1. How to choose mustard greens

When choosing mustard heads, you should choose fresh ones, preferably those with smooth stems. In addition, the mustard heads should be round and without any damage on the surface, which means they are of good quality. Also, when choosing mustard heads, look at the texture of the flesh. If the flesh is firm, without branches and without fibrous roots, then it means that the quality of this mustard head is very good and worth buying.

2. How to store mustard greens

When you buy fresh mustard heads, if they come with stems and leaves, you can tie them into small bundles and store them in a cool place. During the storage period, the mustard heads will absorb the moisture from the stems and leaves, and they will still be fresh when eaten after a dozen days. If they are mustard heads without stems and leaves, you need to wrap them with plastic wrap after purchase, and then place them in a cool place or refrigerate them in the refrigerator. This will also keep them fresh and will not deteriorate for about twenty days.

3. Mustard heads can be pickled and stored later

In addition to preserving fresh mustard heads, you can also pickle them and preserve them. You can wash the purchased mustard heads with clean water, remove the roots and damaged areas, dry them, and then put them in a pickle jar, add salt and clean water, and then put them in a cool place. They will be pickled in two or three months. This pickled mustard head can be stored for several years without deterioration. When eating, take them out, soak them in clean water to remove some of the saltiness.
