How to make strawberry jam

Preparation of strawberries

Before making strawberry jam, you need to prepare the ingredients first. The most important ingredients are one kilogram of fresh strawberries, three hundred grams of rock sugar and half a fresh lemon, or two spoons of lemon juice.

Steps to make strawberry jam

1. Remove the stems of the fresh strawberries you bought, then wash them with clean water. Drain the water and set aside.

2. Place the drained strawberries on a panel, cut them into small pieces with a knife, put them into a small bowl, and then add the prepared rock sugar to marinate.

3. After the strawberries have been pickled with rock sugar for two hours, some juice will flow out. At this time, prepare a small pot, pour the pickled strawberries into the small pot, and turn on the fire to heat.

4. After boiling, lower the heat and simmer slowly. Stir constantly during the simmering process to prevent sticking to the pot. After the strawberries in the pot become sticky, add the prepared lemon juice, mix well and simmer for about three minutes.

5. After the strawberry jam is cooked, let it cool down naturally. After taking it out, put it into a clean bottle, then seal it and store it in the refrigerator. It can be kept for more than ten days without deteriorating, and you can take it out whenever you want to eat it.
