Steps to cook hawthorn braised pork

Everyone knows that hawthorn is a delicious fruit, but do you know that hawthorn can also be used in cooking? Let me introduce it to you.

Hawthorn braised pork recipe:

1. Ingredients: pork belly and dried hawthorn. I like pork belly with a relatively even distribution of fat and lean meat.

2. Cut the pork belly into cubes and soak in vinegar for 15 minutes. Wash the hawthorns and soak them in water for later use.

3. Rinse off the vinegar juice with clean water and drain the pork belly soaked in vinegar before putting it into the pot.

4. Pour a small amount of oil into the pot, add ginger slices, pour in the pork belly and stir-fry over high heat, add cooking wine (I like to use Guangdong rice wine, it has basically no odor and will not affect the taste of the food), hawthorn, dark soy sauce, rock sugar, a small amount of star anise (to increase the aroma of the meat), add two bowls of hot water, cover and simmer over medium heat for 40 minutes.

5. When the soup becomes thick, add salt, pepper and chicken essence to season it. Continue to reduce the heat and cook until the soup is dry.
