It is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids. In the total fat of hazelnuts, monounsaturated fatty acids account for 77.7% and polyunsaturated fatty acids account for 9.5%. Monounsaturated fatty acids help reduce low-density lipoprotein in the blood and have a good effect on preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases. After entering the human body, polyunsaturated fatty acids can produce DHA, which is called brain gold, which can improve memory, judgment, improve optic nerves, and make people smarter. Therefore, hazelnuts are particularly suitable for mental workers who spend all day with computers.

Rich in arginine and aspartic acid. Hazelnuts contain all eight kinds of amino acids needed by the human body, and their content is much higher than that of walnuts, and the content of arginine and aspartic acid is particularly rich. These two amino acids can increase the activity of arginase to eliminate ammonia in the blood, prevent cancer, enhance immunity, and eliminate fatigue.

The content of calcium, phosphorus and iron is higher than other nuts. Every 100 grams of hazelnut kernels contains 316 mg of calcium, which is 3 times that of almonds and 4 times that of walnuts; 556 mg of phosphorus, which is higher than other nuts; and 8.6 mg of iron, which is 1-3 times that of other nuts.

How to eat hazelnuts

Hazelnuts can be eaten directly after being fried, or used to prepare cakes and candies. Hazelnuts can be cooked with cereals such as glutinous rice to make porridge, which can complement each other's nutrition.

Now that we know the nutritional value of hazelnuts, it is advisable to consume about 20 hazelnuts each time. People with severe liver dysfunction should eat them with caution.
