Lychee is a specialty of our south, a subtropical fruit that is available in late spring and early summer and is very popular among people.

Lychee Introduction

Litchi is the fruit of the plant Litchi chinensis of the Sapindaceae family. It is native to southern my country and is cultivated most in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Sichuan, Taiwan, Yunnan, etc. The fruit is harvested when it is ripe between June and July each year, the shell is peeled off, and the aril (litchi flesh) is taken out for fresh use or dried for later use.

The fruit is heart-shaped or spherical, with many scaly protrusions on the pericarp, which is bright red, purple-red, green or bluish-white. When fresh, the pseudocarp is translucent and creamy, juicy and sweet.

Lychee is rich in sugar, protein, multiple vitamins, fat, citric acid, pectin, phosphorus, iron, etc. It is a fruit beneficial to human health.

Nutritional value of lychee

1. The rich sugars in lychees can replenish energy and increase nutrition. Studies have shown that lychees can nourish brain tissue and significantly improve insomnia, forgetfulness, fatigue and other symptoms.

2. People with Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire, or symptoms of getting angry should not eat it, so as not to aggravate the symptoms of getting angry. People with symptoms such as dry and sore throat, swollen and painful gums, and nose bleeding caused by Yin deficiency should not use it.
