Distribution of Longan in the World

Longan is native to southern and southwestern my country. It is now mainly distributed in Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian and Taiwan. In addition, Hainan, Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces also have small-scale cultivation. Other countries and regions in the world that cultivate longan include Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Madagascar, Queensland in Australia, Hawaii and Florida in the United States, etc.

1. When choosing longan, pay attention to the transparent flesh without film and juice overflowing when peeling it, and be careful not to get the stem wet, otherwise it will easily go bad.

2. In theory, longan has the effect of stabilizing pregnancy, but after pregnancy, most women have yin blood deficiency, and yin deficiency will produce internal heat. Traditional Chinese medicine advocates that it is better to keep cool before pregnancy, and longan is hot in nature. Therefore, in order to avoid miscarriage, pregnant women should be careful to eat it.

3. Identify the madman fruit, which is also called the dragon lychee. It is poisonous, does not have the scaly shell of the longan, has a sticky flesh that is difficult to peel, and has a bitter sweet taste.
