Generally, 600 to 700 new mother bamboos should be kept per mu each year, and the same number of old mother bamboos should be thinned in autumn and winter to process bamboo art products to increase income, so that the number of living standing bamboos per mu can be maintained at about 1,300.

Harvest at the right time: no damage to the whip or bamboo shoots, processed and sold

The bamboo shoots can be harvested when the sheath leaves begin to crack and the tip of the bamboo shoot is 20 to 30 cm above the ground.

When harvesting fresh bamboo shoots, be careful not to damage the stems or shoots. After harvesting, peel off the shells and pack them into food bags at 0.5-1 kg each for sale. They can also be processed into dried bamboo slices or dried bamboo shreds for sale, which is more profitable.
