Grapefruit Bars

Grapefruit Bars

I believe that everyone will want to eat pomelo strips a second time after having eaten them once. Let me introduce them to you below.

Grapefruit Bars

Most people eat the pulp when eating pomelo, and make pomelo tea with the skin and part of the pulp.

In fact, what has real nutritional value is the fat and white pomelo stem in the middle.

The plump white stem in the middle of the pomelo that Huaniu preserved last time can be eaten in a new and delicious way.

I won’t say any more. Let’s serve the food quickly, or my mother will ask me again.

Ingredients: 1 grapefruit white stem, 100 grams of flour, 0.25 teaspoons of sugar, some oil, some water

How to make grapefruit strips

1. Cut the white stem of grapefruit into thick strips; find a large bowl and pour flour into it for later use;

2. Boil water in a pot, add the cut grapefruit strips after the water boils, and blanch for about 3 minutes;

3. Take out and put into flour bowl, mix well;

4. Pour oil into the pan, and when the oil temperature reaches 70% to 80% hot, add the mixed grapefruit strips, fry until golden brown and remove;

5. Leave a little oil in the pot, add sugar and appropriate amount of water, and simmer over low heat until bubbles appear;

6. When the syrup turns dark yellow, pour in the fried pomelo strips and stir-fry.

Tips

1. The purpose of blanching the grapefruit strips in water is to remove the bitterness of the grapefruit stems themselves. If it still tastes bitter, add a little sugar when blanching.

2. The flour should fully wrap the pomelo strips so that the pomelo can be fried evenly and taste better.

3. When boiling syrup, pay attention to controlling the heat; the fire should not be too high, otherwise the sugar will become burnt or the syrup will evaporate and not reach the required amount.
