1. Prepare nutrient soil

Soil is an important condition for growing Anthurium. It likes slightly acidic soil with high humus content, looseness, fertility and good drainage. People can choose leaf mold, fine river sand, wood ash and other materials to prepare their own potting soil, or they can go to the market to buy special flower growing soil.

2. Water appropriately

During the cultivation process, Anthurium needs to be watered appropriately. Although this plant likes a humid environment, it is afraid of waterlogging. During the cultivation process, you can keep watering 2 to 3 times a week to keep the soil moist. However, after the Anthurium flowers, you should reduce the number of watering and control the water appropriately. This can encourage it to bloom earlier and prolong the flowering period.

3. Moderate light

When growing Anthurium, you must ensure moderate light exposure, because this plant prefers a semi-shaded environment and is afraid of strong light. If you place it in an environment with plenty of sunlight, you must provide necessary shade. However, in autumn and winter, it is best to move the Anthurium to an environment with sufficient scattered light so that it can receive moderate light. Only in this way can it grow green leaves and red flowers, and grow particularly well.

4. Temperature regulation

When growing Anthurium, you must also pay attention to temperature regulation. This plant likes to grow in a warm environment of 20 to 25 degrees. It is afraid of high temperatures. When the outside temperature exceeds 32 degrees, it will stop growing. However, its cold resistance is relatively poor. The lowest temperature it can withstand is 15 degrees. If the temperature drops below ten degrees, this flower will suffer from frost damage, its leaves will turn black, and in severe cases it will even die.

5. Apply fertilizer in time

Timely top dressing is an important factor in people's cultivation of Anthurium. This plant will enter a rapid growth period from April to October each year. During this period, top dressing should be applied every 10 to 15 days. This will ensure that the Anthurium absorbs sufficient nutrients and allows it to maintain vigorous growth. When fertilizing Anthurium, it is best to use phosphorus and potassium fertilizers or compound fertilizers, and the fertilizers applied should not be too concentrated, otherwise the roots will burn.
