Today, the editor will specifically introduce this knowledge.

How to grow orchids? How to grow orchids?

1. Breeding environment

When growing orchids, you must choose a suitable growing environment. Orchids can be grown outdoors in spring, summer and autumn, but after entering winter, they must be moved to a warm indoor environment and ensure that there is sufficient light indoors. Only in this way can the orchids grow normally.

2. Reproduction method

When planting orchids, you can use different methods to propagate them. Among them, division is the most common method. Before division, you must control the moisture, choose thick and healthy stems, and make sure it has five pseudobulbs connected together. After separating it from the mother plant, disinfect it with potassium permanganate, then plant it in a new pot and water it with enough water. New roots and new leaves will grow after half a month.

3. Watering time and method

When raising orchids, the time and method of watering must be mastered. In summer and autumn, watering orchids must be done after sunset, and the soil in the orchid pot must be kept dry. In winter and spring, it is best to water orchids before sunrise. Do not water orchids with cold water after being exposed to the sun, as this will destroy the physiological balance of orchids and easily induce diseases. In addition, water orchids from the edge of the pot, not on its leaves and buds, otherwise it will cause rot.

4. Timely pruning

Orchids need to be pruned constantly during the cultivation process. Old and yellow leaves should be cut off in time to ensure normal ventilation of the plant. In addition, when the tips of orchid leaves dry up, they should be cut off in time to avoid affecting the ornamental value. If orchids are infected with diseases and insect pests during the cultivation process, the diseased leaves should be cut off in time to avoid infecting other healthy leaves.
