Arrowroot pictures Arrowroot cultivation methods and precautions

Arrowroot is a beautiful ornamental plant. It can be placed at the front desk of the office and on the windowsills indoors. It can beautify the environment and purify the air. Its leaves are beautiful and generous and have special ornamental value. I will share its pictures with you later, and also let you know the cultivation methods and precautions of arrowroot.

Farming methods

1. Flower pots and soil

When growing arrowroot, it is best to choose a large, shallow flowerpot, which is most conducive to the development and extension of its root system. The potting soil needs to be loose, fertile and well-drained. It can be prepared with six parts of peat soil, two parts of garden soil and two parts of sandy soil. Repot once a year, at the turn of spring and summer.

2. Breeding environment

The environment is particularly important when growing arrowroot. It likes high temperature and humid environment, and is shade-tolerant. It can be placed in an environment with scattered light at ordinary times. However, it should be placed in a semi-shaded environment in summer. It cannot be exposed to strong light, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and affect its ornamental value.

3. Temperature regulation

Temperature regulation is also very important in cultivating arrowroot. It grows fastest when the outside temperature is around 22 degrees. The maximum temperature in summer cannot exceed 35 degrees, and the temperature in winter cannot be lower than 15 degrees. If you do not pay attention to temperature regulation, the arrowroot will stop growing and even die in severe cases.

Breeding precautions

When growing arrowroot, you must pay attention to the supply of fertilizer. When it is in the peak growth season, you should fertilize it every half a month. Choose a thin liquid fertilizer. Do not use too much nitrogen fertilizer, otherwise spots will appear on the leaves. It is best to keep the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium at a one-to-one ratio when fertilizing.
