Every year on Valentine's Day, Christmas and New Year, many women will receive beautiful and romantic roses. However, although these roses are beautiful, they are not easy to preserve and keep fresh. The bouquets will wither within a few days. So after we receive the roses, what methods should we use to preserve them? 1. Break branches to keep fresh Usually, when you receive a bouquet of roses, it will have long branches. If you store them directly, they will absorb too many nutrients and cause the roses to wither quickly. The best way is to cut the branches short to reduce their consumption of nutrients and promote their absorption of water. After cutting them short, just wipe them in a vase with clean water to keep the roses fresh for many days. 2. Crushing at the end to keep fresh When preserving roses that are in full bloom, you can use a hard object to break the end of the rose stalk to expand the water absorption area of the stalk and ensure that sufficient water and nutrient solution can be supplied to the interrupted roses. This will keep the roses fresh and more vibrant. 3. Use preservatives If you want to keep roses fresh for a long time, you can choose fresh flowers with strong vitality, then put them in a vase with solution, and then add an appropriate amount of preservatives to extend the shelf life of roses. If you don't have flower preservatives at home, you can also add 1/1000 of aspirin in clean water and then put the roses in it, which can also play a role in preserving. 4. Low temperature preservation Fresh roses can also be kept fresh at low temperatures, especially when no one at home wants to keep the bouquet, you can wrap it in a plastic bag and put it directly into the refrigerator. This will ensure that the roses will not wither for several days. After returning home, take them out and put them in a vase, which can make the flowers come alive. However, when storing roses at low temperatures, they must be packed well, otherwise the exposed buds will lose moisture, which will directly affect the preservation of the roses. |
