Viola yedoensis is a famous Chinese medicinal material. It can clear away heat and detoxify, cool blood and reduce swelling, and is often of high value. So how should this purple flower be planted underground? How should its diseases and pests be prevented and controlled? I will write about its planting methods and pest control methods in a while. Those of you who want to plant Viola yedoensis can focus on understanding it.

How to plant Viola yedoensis and how to control its pests and diseases

1. Sowing of Viola yedoensis

Viola yedoensis is usually sown in December every year. Before sowing, the seeds can be placed in a ventilated and dry environment. After planting, it will not germinate until February of the second year, and then it can be transplanted in March. In addition, Viola yedoensis can also be sown directly after the seeds are collected in May. They will germinate quickly and then can be transplanted.

2. Management of Viola yedoensis seedlings

Seedling management is particularly important when planting Viola yedoensis. The temperature must be controlled to prevent the seedlings from growing too tall. There must be sufficient sunlight, and the temperature should be controlled at around 15 degrees during the day and between 8 and 10 degrees at night. The soil can be slightly moist. When transplanting the seedlings, the roots must be stretched and the bottom water must be watered thoroughly. Generally, the seedlings can be transplanted after they have five leaves.

3. Disease and pest control of Viola yedoensis

The plant Viola yedoensis may also be prone to diseases and pests during the cultivation period. Red spider mites are a common pest, and lime sulfur can be sprayed when it occurs. Leaf spot is a common disease, and the leaves of Viola yedoensis will die when it occurs. The best treatment method at this time is to spray it with chlorothalonil. It should be sprayed once every seven days, and three to four times in a row to make the leaf blight disappear.
