Jasper cultivation method and precautions for Jasper cultivation

Jasper cultivation method and precautions for Jasper cultivation

Jasper is often grown in white plastic pots or white porcelain pots, and is often placed on coffee tables, decorative cabinets, antique shelves, and desks, which is very refreshing and pleasing to the eye. Jasper can also absorb radiation when placed next to computers and TVs, making it both beautiful and healthy. So what are the methods for growing Jasper?

Jade cultivation method

1. Matrix

Jasper likes loose, fertile, well-drained and humus-rich sandy soil, and should never choose clay. Generally, the matrix can be mixed with leaf mold + river sand + a small amount of decomposed organic fertilizer. If conditions permit, peat soil and perlite can be mixed for cultivation.

2. Lighting

Jadeite prefers semi-shade or scattered light. Except for the winter when Jasper needs sufficient light, it needs a little shade in other seasons, especially in the summer.

3. Temperature

The suitable temperature for jadeite growth is between 20℃ and 30℃. The temperature in winter is best kept above 10℃. It will stop growing below 10℃ and it will easily be damaged by frost below 5℃.

4. Humidity

Jade likes moisture and will grow luxuriantly in an environment with high humidity, with bright leaves. When the temperature is high or the air is dry, you should spray water on the leaves or sprinkle water in the growing environment to maintain a high air humidity, which is extremely beneficial to the growth of the plant.

5. Watering

Jadeite likes water and is not drought-resistant, so it needs to be watered frequently during the growing season. When the temperature is above 25℃ or the air is dry, more water should be given, but waterlogging should also be prevented. When the temperature is below 25℃, water it thoroughly only when the surface of the potting soil is dry. When the temperature is below 10℃, it can tolerate being dry for several days without watering.

6. Fertilization

When the temperature is higher than 18℃, you need to fertilize the Jasper in small amounts. When the temperature is lower than 18℃ or higher than 30℃, you can fertilize less or no fertilizer. It is best to fertilize in small amounts each time and apply several times. It is best to use diluted fertilizer instead of water for irrigation. It is not tolerant to raw fertilizer and concentrated fertilizer, which can easily cause fertilizer damage. You can also spray fertilizer on the leaves for good results. Nitrogen fertilizer and potassium fertilizer are the main fertilizers, followed by phosphorus fertilizer.
