How to grow potted magnolia

1. Potted magnolia needs to be leaf-picked and topped

In order to grow white magnolia well, daily management is very important. Between the spring equinox and Qingming Festival every day, the flower pot should be moved outdoors. After it adapts to the external environment, the old leaves should be removed. This will facilitate the growth of new leaves. When it is in the peak growth season, it is necessary to pinch the top in time to control its height. Pinching can promote the development of side branches and make the white magnolia become denser.

2. Supply of nutrients for potted magnolia

When cultivating white magnolia, you must pay attention to nutrient supplementation, because white magnolia is a fertilizer-loving flower. It has a relatively long flowering period and a large number of flowers. When planting, you must apply enough base fertilizer. Between May and October each year, top dressing should be done every five to seven days. When top dressing, it is best to choose organic liquid fertilizer mainly composed of phosphorus and potassium. When applying, you must follow the principle of applying thin fertilizers frequently, otherwise the white magnolia will cause root rot.

3. Water control of potted magnolia

Potted magnolia has certain requirements for water. It likes water but is afraid of water. After watering, water should not accumulate in the pot. In addition, it should be watered once a day in early summer and late autumn. In the summer when the temperature is too high, it needs to be watered twice a day, preferably in the morning and evening. In addition, you should use a watering can to spray water on the leaves at noon to help the magnolia cool down. After doing these, your magnolia will get better and better.
