How to plant rose seedlings

Roses are beautiful and most people like them and want to grow some themselves, but how should rose seedlings be planted? The method of planting rose seedlings is not complicated. I will write it down and share it with you later. Friends who like roses can learn to plant some.

How to plant rose seedlings

1. Sowing rose seedlings

The preparation for sowing rose seedlings needs to start in autumn. In autumn, the seeds should be stored in sand. The specific method is to add a small amount of soil to the sand and mix it evenly, then wet it with water, put the rose seeds in the sand, and dig a 60 cm wide and 80 cm deep trench in a semi-shaded environment. Bury the sand with the seeds underground and leave pores. Then when the spring of the second year comes, take out the seeds and plant the broken seeds directly in the ground.

2. Rose seedlings' soil requirements

Rose seedlings have strong vitality, and their soil requirements are not high. They prefer soil that causes alkaline. However, rose seedlings should be planted in a sunny plot and watered after sowing. They germinate and grow fastest when the outside temperature exceeds ten degrees. Rose seedlings also have certain requirements for the ambient temperature during their growth period. When the temperature is too high or too low, they will stop growing.

3. Winter management of rose seedlings

Rose seedlings are very cold-resistant and generally do not require special protection in winter. However, when the outside temperature drops below zero, the rose seedlings also need to take necessary cold-proof measures, otherwise they will freeze to death. The most common cold-proof method is to cover the rose seedlings with bark chips or peat moss, and then remove them after the temperature rises in the spring of the following year.
