How to grow carnivorous plants

Carnivorous plants are an annual herb native to tropical regions. They are rarely seen in subtropical and temperate regions. Now that we are short of harvest, let’s take a look at the pictures of Carnivorous plants and how to grow them.

How to grow carnivorous plants

1. The tropical region has high temperatures all year round, so there are more insects. The carnivorous plant has an organ that can absorb nutrients from insects, which is the insect sac, just like a pig pitcher. Therefore, the carnivorous plant is also called the pitcher plant. Some people also call the carnivorous plant the thunder pot.

2. Carnivorous plants like high temperature and high humidity environment, like semi-shade, can not be exposed to strong sunlight, are not cold-resistant, and are afraid of dryness. They grow best at 25-30℃. The temperature in winter cannot be lower than 16℃, so they must be cultivated in greenhouses in winter. Spray water on carnivorous plants almost every day to ensure the temperature of the growth environment.

3. Carnivorous plants are usually small potted plants. The choice of soil is very important. You should choose nutritious, loose and fertile leaf humus. You can also use peat soil. In order to make the potted carnivorous plants look better, you can also add some moss on the soil, which is both beautiful and moisturizing. Carnivorous plants are particularly elegant when placed indoors. When raising carnivorous plants at home, you must remember to prepare a small water sprayer to spray water on the carnivorous plants every day.
