1. When making rice wine at home, you need to prepare one kilogram of glutinous rice, an appropriate amount of sweet wine yeast and pure water, and a wine-making container. After washing the prepared glutinous rice, soak it in pure water for 24 hours until the rice grains can be crushed by gently squeezing them with your hands.

2. Prepare the steamer, put an appropriate amount of water in it, put two layers of steaming cloth on the steamer, put the soaked glutinous rice on the steaming cloth, cover the pot and steam it in water, and steam it for another 20 minutes after the pot boils. After steaming, take out the glutinous rice and put it in a clean container to cool it down.

3. When the steamed glutinous rice cools down to 36-7 degrees, you can add the wine yeast. At this time, the temperature of the glutinous rice is particularly important. It is not good to be too high or too low. After adding the wine yeast, mix it evenly, then press the glutinous rice hard and dig a round hole in the middle of it. Finally, sprinkle a layer of wine on the surface of the glutinous rice, cover the container, and let it ferment at room temperature.

4. After 24 hours, wine will appear in the small hole in the middle of the glutinous rice. At this time, the taste of the wine is not good enough and it needs to continue to ferment. It will take 48 hours for the fermentation to be completed. At this time, you need to add an appropriate amount of pure water and let it ferment for two or three days. Then take it out and filter it, and you can get rice wine with a mellow taste.

5. When making rice wine at home, you must pay attention that the containers used for brewing must be sterilized at high temperature and must be free of oil and water. Otherwise, the glutinous rice will deteriorate during the production process, and it will be easy for the rice wine you make to end in failure.
