How to choose non-GMO soybeans

In today's life, genetically modified foods are very common. People also know that this kind of genetically modified food has many adverse symptoms on the body after consumption. Therefore, eating non-genetically modified foods has become what many people want to do most. But how can we tell whether food is genetically modified? The editor cannot introduce all the methods of distinguishing foods one by one. Today, I will pick a key point and teach you how to choose non-genetically modified soybeans.

How to choose non-GMO soybeans

1. Look at the navel color of soybeans

The navel color of non-GMO soybeans is light yellow and bright yellow, and the grains are relatively uniform and full. The appearance of GMO soybeans is oblate or oval, and the color is relatively dark. The color of its bean navel is also different from that of non-GMO soybeans, which is a yellowish brown or dark yellow.

2. Soak the soybeans in water and separate them

Here the editor will tell you a characteristic of genetically modified soybeans, that is, this kind of soybeans do not germinate, which means that they cannot produce bean sprouts. Therefore, based on this point, you can soak the soybeans in water, take them out after soaking, cover them with a wet cloth, and place them in a warm environment. After two to three days, observe whether there are bean sprouts. If so, it means that the soybeans are non-genetically modified soybeans.

3. Look at the logo of soybeans

The country now stipulates that places where genetically modified foods are sold must affix an obvious genetically modified food logo. Soybeans without this logo may be non-genetically modified. However, this method is only suitable for large shopping malls and supermarkets with standardized management. It is completely unsuitable for ordinary small grain stores.
