Delicious ingredients:

2 long eggplants, 75g tomato sauce, 75g onion, 1 tablespoon (15ML) minced garlic, 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ML) salt, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ML) basil, 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ML) white pepper, 1 tablespoon (15ML) olive oil

Baking: oven bottom, 220 degrees, 25-30 minutes

Production process:

1. Wash the long eggplant and cut it into thin round slices. Chop the onion into small pieces, peel the garlic, smash it and chop it into minced pieces.

2. Spread the eggplant slices in a baking bowl or baking tray.

3. Take a small bowl and pour in the ketchup.

4. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, white pepper, basil and olive oil.

6. Spread the seasoning evenly on the eggplant, put it into the oven preheated to 220 degrees, and bake for 25-30 minutes.

TIPS:

1. You don’t have to use a baking bowl to make this baked eggplant dish. You can use your own baking tray. Place the eggplant slices directly on the baking tray, or place a piece of tin foil on the baking tray in advance.

2. The basil in the ingredients refers to dried basil, which should be familiar to everyone - yes, it has been used in making pizza sauce. It can add flavor to eggplant and can be found on the imported seasoning shelf in the supermarket. If you can't buy it, you don't have to put it in.

3. There is a difference between ketchup and tomato sauce. The difference between the two is that ketchup is made from tomato concentrate, while tomato sauce is seasoned on the basis of ketchup, with sugar, oil, vinegar and other seasonings added. You can look at the ingredient list when buying. The ingredients of ketchup are generally only "tomato" or "tomato, water", while the ingredient list of tomato sauce has a long list of ingredients. It is recommended to use ketchup instead of tomato sauce for this dish.

4. The eggplant should be baked until it is soft. The time required may vary depending on the conditions of the oven. If the eggplant is still hard, you can bake it in the oven for a while longer.
