Introduction of Panda Bean Steamed Cake

Panda bean cake ingredients

120g low-gluten flour 80g corn flour

Panda beans 50g sugar osmanthus

40g white sugar 2g baking powder

How to make panda bean cake

1. Soak the panda beans for 6 hours

2. Put it in the pot and cook until the bean skin cracks

3. Put it into a bowl, add sugar osmanthus and mix well

4. Mix corn flour, flour and sugar together

5. Add yeast and water into the mixed powder and stir evenly.

6. Add pandan beans and mix well, then put into the greased mold

7. Cover with a wet cloth and let it rise to double its height, steam it for 20 minutes, and simmer for 5 minutes. After it cools down, turn it upside down and cut it into pieces.

Tips

1. The consistency of the batter can be adjusted according to your taste and wetness preferences.

2. If you don’t have low gluten, you can use ordinary flour instead. Corn flour can also be replaced with millet flour, black rice flour, oatmeal flour, buckwheat flour, etc.

3. Corn flour is not corn starch. These are two different things.

Corn recipe recommendation: Corn muffins

Ingredients: 1 cup cornmeal 8 tbsp unsalted butter softened

2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt 2 eggs

3/4 cup sugar (optional if using bacon)

1. Preheat oven to 400F/204C. Grease baking pan. Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

2. Beat the eggs at medium speed for half a minute, add sugar and beat for half a minute, add butter three times. Add half of the sour cream and milk, mix well, add the remaining sour cream and milk, mix well. Finally, add the dry ingredients and mix well.

3. Place in the mold, bake for about 18 minutes, take out and cool on the rack for 5 minutes, then cut and eat

4. If you can’t finish it at one time, bake it at 350F/177C for 5 minutes.
