Candied Yam

Features of sugar-coated yam: sweet and crispy, with thin and shiny sugar threads being pulled out from between each piece of yam.

Ingredients: yam.

Seasoning: granulated sugar, dry starch.

How to make candied yam

1. Wash and peel the yam, cut into prismatic pieces, drain the water, dip in dry starch, and fry in oil until golden brown.

2. Wash the pot, add a little oil, add granulated sugar and a small amount of water and stir-fry over low heat.

3. When the sugar liquid turns yellow, pour in the fried yam cubes and stir-fry evenly.

4. Finally, put it into a plate coated with cold oil.

Method 2 of candied yam

Ingredients: 200 grams of yam, 1 egg, 10 grams of flour, 50 grams of starch, 500 grams of cooking oil (80 grams actually consumed), and 5 tablespoons of white sugar.

How to make candied yam:

1. Peel and cut the yam into pieces, wash with water, drain and coat with a little dry starch; beat the eggs into a bowl, add flour, dry starch, a little water and a little oil to make a paste, and put the yams into the paste one by one;

2. Heat the oil in a pan, add the yam, fry until golden and crispy, then remove from the oil;

3. Wash the pot, add water and sugar, stir-fry over low heat until golden brown and small bubbles appear, then add the fried yam and stir-fry evenly. Pour into an oiled plate and serve with a bowl of cold water.
