Material

Ingredients: 40g beef, 1/4 bowl rice, 1 spinach, 1/2 cup broth, 1/5 potato, 1/5 carrot, 1/5 onion, some salt

Preparation method: (1) Prepare lean beef and grind it.

(2) Stew and mash spinach, carrots, onions, and potatoes.

(3) Add rice, vegetables and minced meat to a pot and cook. Season with salt.

Nutritional analysis of vegetable beef porridge

A diet rich in lean beef can help teenagers maintain normal iron levels in their blood and help them develop good eating habits.

Recent research reports show that lean beef is the best way to get iron. This study observed the changes in blood iron and cholesterol levels in 86 7th and 8th graders over a three-month period. All participants took a low-saturated fatty acid diet and added lean beef, poultry or fish. The results showed that the blood iron concentration of adolescents who took lean beef was more normal, and the LDL concentration was lower. For adolescents who took poultry or fish, the LDL concentration in their blood decreased, but the blood iron concentration did not show the same results as those who took lean beef.

A high concentration of blood iron is very important for teenagers, especially those who participate in sports that require instantaneous explosive power or the changes that occur during puberty, which require sufficient blood iron support.

The reason why scientists focus on teenagers is that many teenagers have low iron levels in their blood. Both meat and plants can be sources of iron, but hemoferric iron (found in meat) is the form of iron that is most easily absorbed by the human body; plant iron is non-hemoferric iron and is less easily absorbed and utilized by the human body.

The dietary plan used in the study also included an increase in fruits and vegetables along with an increase in meat intake.
