1. Soak the clams in a little salt water for 2 hours to allow them to spit out the sand.

3. Add broth, water, rice, loofah, ginger and clams prepared in step 2 into a soup pot and cook together. Bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and continue cooking for about 20 minutes. Add a little salt and stir well.
