The efficacy of lithospermum porridge

The efficacy of lithospermum porridge

Let me give you two specific effects of Lithospermum erythrorhizon porridge. I hope you like it.

Lithospermum officinale porridge

The effect of purple grass porridge

1. Anti-pathogenic microorganisms:

Lithospermum has an inhibitory effect on Jingke 68-1 virus in vitro, shikonin can inhibit influenza virus in chicken embryos, and can delay the cytopathic effect of poliovirus in tissue culture. Lithospermum has an inhibitory effect on hepatitis B antigen (HBsAg) and HAA immunoprecipitation line; Lithospermum has an inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Shigella dysenteriae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The decoction of the herb and water in a ratio of 1:1 has the strongest antibacterial ability of Xinjiang lithospermum against the above fungi, while lithospermum is relatively poor; 10% saline infusion of lithospermum has an inhibitory effect on fungi such as Epidermophyton floccosum and Microcystis woolly, and loses its antibacterial effect after boiling. Lithospermum water decoction has a certain effect on tuberculosis in mice.

The ether, ethanol or water extracts of Lithospermum officinale, shikonin, acetylshikonin, etc., taken orally or topically, can inhibit the hyperpermeability of capillaries (including those caused by histamine, bromelain, bradykinin, and anti-rat serum and rabbit serum), and can also inhibit the local edema of animals caused by carrageenan, anti-rat serum, rabbit serum, formaldehyde and thermal stimulation, or formaldehyde-induced peritonitis in mice. It can also inhibit the proliferation of subcutaneous cotton ball granulomas, indicating that it has an antagonistic effect on the hyperpermeability of blood vessels, exudation and edema in the acute exudative phase of inflammation, and inflammation in the proliferative phase. The removal of the animal adrenal glands still has an anti-inflammatory effect. The ointment prepared from Lithospermum officinale extract or its pigment components for topical application has a promoting effect on the proliferation of granulation tissue and can significantly accelerate wound healing. Oral administration of Lithospermum officinale decoction has a mild antipyretic effect on experimental fever in rabbits, and its extracts and pigment components also have a mild antipyretic effect. Lithospermum polysaccharide has the effect of resisting local strains of herpes virus. A sensitivity test of HSV-I virus was carried out using 100 mg/ml Lithospermum polysaccharide maintenance solution, and its virus inhibition index was 3-5.

2. Effects on digestive tract smooth muscle:

Oral administration of lithospermum decoction to rabbits can enhance the tension in the small intestine or cause it to contract. This effect may be related to the efficacy of lithospermum in benefiting the large intestine and lubricating the intestine. It is often used by people with constipation caused by heat toxic sores, rashes, and maculopapular toxicity. On the other hand, shikonin and acetylshikonin can relax the intestine when the concentration is higher than 10-4g/ml, and have the effect of antagonizing intestinal contraction substances such as acetylcholine, histamine, angiotensin and barium chloride. These effects are not effective through the autonomic nervous system or the corresponding receptors, but are the direct result of stimulation by pigment components. This effect may relieve spasm and pain of gastrointestinal smooth muscle. Traditional Chinese medicine often uses lithospermum to treat bloody dysentery. In addition to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, it may also be related to its antispasmodic effect. How the above two different effects are related to the dosage form of the drug, the functional state of the animal or organ and other reasons remains to be studied.
