How to peel chestnuts? Common chestnut peeling techniques

It's autumn again, and it's time for chestnuts to be put on the market in large quantities. People walking on the streets can often smell the aroma of chestnuts. This is because many people like to buy fresh chestnuts to eat at home. Whether it is used to cook porridge or stew meat, it is very delicious. However, when people want to eat chestnuts, they always worry about peeling them, which feels very troublesome. In fact, there are certain methods and techniques for peeling chestnuts. I will write them down later so that everyone can fully understand how to peel chestnuts.

1. Machine peeling

There are special tools to remove the hard outer skin of chestnuts. Although many people don't want to buy this kind of machine, when you buy chestnuts, you will find that most merchants selling chestnuts will have this kind of chestnut peeler! After buying chestnuts, you can directly ask the vendor to help you remove the outer skin of the chestnuts, and then go home and wash it clean, and you can eat it directly.

2. Peel with hard objects

Many people feel that it is too troublesome to peel the chestnuts one by one by hand after buying them. In this case, you can put the purchased chestnuts in a bag at the back of a corner, put it on the ground and gently tap it with a hard object. During the tapping process, you should often fool the bag so that the chestnuts in the bag can be tapped evenly. After five or six minutes, take out the chestnuts inside. At this time, you will find that the chestnut shell has been completely separated from the flesh inside. Just gently tap it with your hand to remove the skin.

3. Soak in hot water and peel

After buying chestnuts, you can also wash the raw chestnuts with clean water, add a small amount of table salt to mix well, then add clean water to a pot and bring to a boil, then put the processed chestnuts directly into the boiling water, turn off the heat, cover the pot and simmer for five minutes. At this time, the chestnut shell will expand after being heated, and it will naturally separate from the flesh inside. After taking it out and cutting the chestnut, its shell will fall off automatically, and people can easily get the clean chestnut meat inside.
