Mulberry is a highly nutritious special fruit. It has a purple-red appearance, a unique aroma, and sweet and juicy flesh. Many people like to eat it, but it is difficult to store. Sometimes it will go bad in less than a day, which makes people very distressed. How can mulberries be stored to extend their shelf life? If you have such distress, let's learn how to store mulberries with me.

How to store mulberries

1. You can put the purchased mulberries in a container with a larger opening, and then store it in the refrigerator. This can reduce the respiration of the mulberries and extend the shelf life of the mulberries.

2. Wash the fresh mulberries with water, drain the water, then add a small amount of salt. After a while, add more sugar, mix the sugar and mulberries evenly, then seal it. Finally, put it in the refrigerator for refrigeration. This way, the shelf life of the mulberries can be extended to about fifteen days.

3. Pickling mulberries directly with white sugar is also a good preservation method. You can take a sealed container, put a layer of white sugar and then a layer of mulberries in it, alternating between them. It is best to put a layer of white sugar on the top layer and then cover it with a lid and put it in the refrigerator. After a few days, a large amount of mulberry juice will appear on the surface. You can absorb a lot of nutrients from mulberries by eating the pulp and drinking the juice.

4. You can also dry the fresh mulberries and preserve them. After drying, you can get dried mulberries, which can be used to cook porridge or soak in wine. In addition, fresh mulberries can also be directly made into mulberry wine and then preserved. The shelf life can be up to one or two years.
