1. Wash the prepared hawthorn with clean water to remove impurities on the skin, then split it in the middle with a knife and remove the core at the bottom and in the middle.

2. Pour the prepared 250 grams of water into the pot, and then put the processed hawthorns into it. After the water in the pot boils, turn to low heat and cook for about 20 minutes. When the hawthorns in the pot are soft, you can turn off the heat.

3. Let the cooked hawthorns cool down, then pour the hawthorns and the water used to cook them into a food processor, and process them into a puree.

4. Pour the fruit puree back into the pot and heat it over low heat. During the heating process, slowly pour in the prepared white sugar and stir until the fruit puree is very thick and starts to bubble.

5. Dissolve the prepared lotus root powder in cold water, then pour it into the stirred fruit puree. Continue heating over low heat and continue stirring. Do not stop until the fruit puree in the pot becomes very sticky. Then pour it into a container while it is hot, and wait for it to cool down to make the hawthorn cake.

6. Take out the prepared hawthorn cake and cut it into small pieces of your favorite with a knife, then you can eat it directly.
