Cultivation methods and precautions of Euphorbia obesa

The sword lotus is not a real lotus. It is a plant of the cactus family and belongs to the father sign plant. It can be made into a potted plant and cultivated at home. Because it looks like a sword and its flowers look like water lilies, it is named the sword lotus. This plant has strong vitality and is most suitable for indoor cultivation. However, if you want to grow the sword lotus well, you must master its cultivation method and know what to pay attention to during the cultivation process, otherwise it will be difficult for the sword lotus to grow healthily.

Farming methods

Euphorbia pulcherrima, this plant likes to grow in a warm and humid environment, and cannot accept direct sunlight. It is drought-resistant and likes to grow in a semi-shaded environment, but is afraid of rain. When cultivating Euphorbia pulcherrima, you need to choose fertile, loose, well-drained neutral soil or slightly acidic soil, and the cultivation temperature should be kept between 20 and 25 degrees. It cannot be placed in an environment below five degrees in winter. Only in this way can it ensure that Euphorbia pulcherrima blooms beautiful flowers in April every year.

Precautions

1. Fertilizer and water

The Euphorbia paniculata is a plant that likes fertilizer. During the cultivation period, it should be fertilized once every half a month. The fertilizer should be well-rotted and thin cake fertilizer. After the Spring Festival every year, it should be top-dressed every ten days. During the germination period of the flower, 1 to 2 quick-acting fertilizers should be added to make the flowers bloom more brightly and eye-catching. The Euphorbia paniculata is drought-resistant and cannot be watered frequently. It can be watered once every 5 to 7 days to keep the pot soil moist.

2. Sunlight and humidity

When cultivating Euphorbia pulcherrima, you should pay special attention to sunlight and humidity. Although this plant likes plenty of sunlight, it cannot accept direct sunlight. It should be placed in an environment with sufficient scattered light, and in summer it should be placed in a ventilated semi-shaded place. It cannot accept rain and direct sunlight, otherwise it will make its stems turn yellow and wilt. Euphorbia pulcherrima likes a relatively humid environment. In the dry spring and hot summer, you can spray water on its leaves more often, or spray water around the flowerpot to increase the air humidity, which will make the Euphorbia pulcherrima grow more vigorously.
