How to grow snapdragon

Snapdragon is a plant that has many uses in landscaping. Now let’s learn about the cultivation methods of Snapdragon.

How to grow snapdragon

1. Sow snapdragons in the ground at the right time, usually in September. It can also be propagated by cuttings. When the snapdragons grow to a certain size, they can be transplanted into pots.

2. The transplanting of snapdragon is usually carried out when the seedlings grow 4-5 branches and leaves. Some humus soil should be placed in the pot, which is best for the growth of snapdragon. Water it in the morning and evening after planting.

3. When the snapdragon grows to a certain size, it needs to be repotted. Snapdragon is a relatively cold-resistant plant and is also very tolerant of partial shade. It can withstand temperatures above -5°C. If the temperature drops below -5°C, it will freeze to death.

4. Protect against cold in winter and sun in summer. Snapdragon is a plant that likes moisture and is afraid of drought. Spray water every two days. Fertilizer should be used reasonably, with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium used in combination.

5. At the same time, the snapdragon also needs to be pruned well. When the snapdragon grows to about 10 cm, it is necessary to pinch the top to prevent it from growing too tall. This will help increase the number of plants, and naturally the number of flowers will also be more. Yellow leaf diseased plants should be removed regularly.
