When making mung bean cake at home, you can prepare 200 grams of mung beans, 60 grams of sesame oil, 100 grams of casserole sugar and 40 grams of maltose, and also prepare a small amount of bean paste filling.

Specific steps for making mung bean cake

1. Soak the prepared mung beans in clean water for more than 24 hours. After the mung beans are cooked, take them out and remove all the skins.

2. Steam the peeled mung beans in a steamer until they are soft and glutinous. Use a spoon to press the mung beans into mung bean paste for later use.

3. Pour sesame oil into a non-stick pan and put the mung bean paste into the pan and stir-fry. After stir-frying evenly, add sugar and maltose and stir-fry slowly until they are all blended together. Stir constantly during frying to prevent sticking to the pan.

4. Take out the fried mung bean paste, divide it into small pieces of appropriate size, and then knead it evenly so that the bean paste filling is wrapped inside. Then put it in a special mold and press it. If you don’t have a mold, you can use a larger bottle cap instead.

5. After taking the mung bean paste out of the mold, the mung bean cake can be eaten directly. If you can refrigerate the prepared mung bean cake in the refrigerator, the taste will be even better.
