How to make homemade ketchup

1. Prepare a pot of hot water at about 60 degrees, then put the rinsed fresh tomatoes into the pot, cover it and simmer for about 2 minutes, then open the lid and you can see the tomato skin peeling off automatically.

2. Cut the peeled tomatoes into several large pieces. During this process, carefully remove the tomato seeds and some immature parts to avoid destroying the taste during the making of tomato sauce.

3. Use a blender to crush the tomatoes, then pour the crushed tomato juice into the original pot, and add a little rock sugar according to personal taste. Boil the water in the pot and then simmer over low heat. When it becomes thick, stir it with a spatula from time to time to prevent it from sticking to the pot.

4. When the tomatoes are really thick like a "sauce", you can add an appropriate amount of lemon juice and continue to simmer for a few minutes. Then you can remove from the pot. After cooling, the sweet and sour tomato sauce is ready.
