Loofah porridge

Material

Ingredients: 1 cup of white rice, 1 loofah, 2 tablespoons of dried shrimp Seasoning: 8 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of salt, a pinch of pepper

How to make loofah porridge

1. Wash the rice, add 8 cups of water and soak for 20 minutes, move to the stove and bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat to cook the porridge.

2. Peel, wash and slice the loofah, soak the dried shrimps until soft, put them into the porridge and cook until soft, then add salt and pepper and mix well, then turn off the heat and serve.

1. Tender loofahs have more water and need to be cooked for a shorter time; harder loofahs are less likely to release water, so do not cut them too thick and cook them for a slightly longer time.

2. The water used to soak dried shrimps contains baking soda, so do not add it to the porridge. After they are softened, pick out the broken shells before adding them to the porridge for cooking.
