The efficacy of pheasant porridge

Functions and indications: nourishes and warms, strengthens tendons and bones, enters the liver and replenishes blood. Treats metrorrhagia and leukorrhea.

Nutritional value of pheasant:

Pheasant meat is tender and delicious, with a strong gamey flavor. Its protein content is as high as 30%, which is twice that of ordinary chicken and pork, and its fat content is only 0.9%, which is 1/39 of pork, 1/8 of beef, and 1/10 of chicken. It basically contains no cholesterol (see the table below), and is a high-protein, low-fat game food. Pheasant has therefore become a royal tribute in successive dynasties. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty was so impressed after eating it that he wrote the famous sentence "Its reputation is known throughout the northern frontier for three thousand miles, and its taste is better than that of the twelve towers in the south of the Yangtze River."

After eating, Ye Xuanping, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, commented: "It looks good, tastes good, and has a gamey flavor." The famous nutritionist Yu Ruomu also gave a high evaluation of the nutritional content of pheasants. Pheasants are high-end gifts for people to give as gifts, rare game for entertaining guests, and are also the reserved dishes for the White House to entertain heads of state in the United States. Because of this, around the Spring Festival every year, there is a wave of giving pheasants as gifts in the market.
