Pepper porridge

This porridge recipe is suitable for the treatment or prevention of diseases such as vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. This recipe is selected from Puji Fang, which was compiled by Zhu Su, the King of Zhou in the early Ming Dynasty, Professor Teng Shuo, and Liu Chun, the chief historian. Zhu Su was the fifth son of Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty. He was initially named Wu Wu, and was renamed the King of Zhou in the eleventh year of Hongwu. Zhu Su "loved to learn and was good at writing, paid attention to civil affairs, and tried to write a herbal medicine for famine relief." He quoted the prescription books of historians of all dynasties. He also collected other biographies and miscellaneous stories as well as relevant data such as Taoist and Buddhist collections, and edited Puji Fang. Therefore, this book has the medical experience of the vast majority of people before the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. The book has a total of 426 volumes, 1960 theories, 2175 categories, 778 methods, and 61739 prescriptions. Therefore, in terms of its content, this book is the largest prescription book in my country's history. Among them, Volumes 257 to 259 are all about food treatment, and the collection of medicinal porridge is extremely rich. The book contains 180 recipes of medicinal porridge classified by disease, and discusses the importance of food therapy: "The basis of a safe life must be supported by food, and the speed of curing diseases must rely on medicine. Those who do not know the right food cannot survive, and those who do not know medicine cannot cure diseases." "Food can expel evil and calm the internal organs, please the mind and refresh the mind, and benefit the blood and qi. If you can use food to relieve constipation, relieve emotions and get rid of diseases, you can be called a good doctor." He did a lot of research on the use of medicinal porridge to treat diseases: "Although rice is only one thing, there are many kinds of porridge, and the color and taste are rare. You will never tire of taking it. Remember to get clean and sweet water from afar and carefully distinguish the essence of millet. Yam, millet yellow, sorghum, red glutinous rice, white glutinous rice, white glutinous rice, pungent kernel, green onion, ginger, mixed noodles, and vegetable can all be used to cook porridge. Therefore, of the hundred kinds of millet, use one stone to make the color and taste fresh, change and stir to make porridge, warm and adjust, the fragrance is strange, the mind is clear and happy, and the breath is relaxed when happy. Porridge is the source of life, and food can replace half of the medicine. "Pepper noodle porridge is selected from "Puji Fang•Volume 259•Food Treatment•Food Treatment of Heart and Stomach Pain".

Sichuan pepper is spicy and hot, and has a strong effect of warming the middle and dispersing cold.
