How to steam oranges Tips for steaming oranges

Many people have heard that oranges can be steamed before eating, and that eating steamed oranges can prevent colds and improve cough and asthma symptoms. But how should fresh oranges be steamed? What are the techniques for steaming them? There are two different ways to steam oranges, and I will share them with you in a moment.

Steamed Oranges Method 1

1. When steaming oranges, you can take fresh, plump, mature and high-quality oranges. Wash them with clean water before steaming. If you feel there is wax on the surface, you need to rub it with salt and then rinse it again.

2. After washing the orange, cut it into pieces 2 to 3 centimeters from the top, take out the smaller part, and then take an appropriate amount of table salt and sprinkle it evenly on the exposed flesh of the larger orange. Poke a few holes with chopsticks, and then cover it with the cut part.

3. Put the processed oranges in a bowl and steam them in a pot. Steam for another 15 minutes after the water boils. The oranges in the pot will be steamed. Turn off the heat, take out the oranges to cool down, eat the oranges and drink the soup in the bowl. The steamed oranges made in this way are very effective in relieving cough, asthma and excessive phlegm.

Steamed Oranges Method 2

1. In addition to the above method of steaming oranges, you can also wash the fresh oranges, remove the surface moisture, cut them in the middle, and then cut them into pieces of your favorite shape, and place the cut oranges on a plate.

2. Put an appropriate amount of rock sugar on a plate. It is best to place the rock sugar and orange pieces at intervals. After placing them, put water in the pot, then put the plate into the pot and steam it. After the water boils, steam it for another ten minutes. The oranges in the pot will be steamed. Take them out and stir them with a small spoon. Eat them directly. It tastes sweet and sour and refreshing. It is especially delicious. Regular consumption can also prevent colds. It allows the human body to absorb rich vitamin C, whitens the skin, fades spots, and the beauty effect is also obvious.
