First, it is easy to store, and second, cherry tomatoes taste sweet after being dried. They are high in nutrition and low in calories, making them one of Shiyue's favorite snacks.

Dried cherry tomatoes have a wide range of uses and are mostly used in Western cuisine. You can add some to fried pasta, baked pizza, various salads, and toast. In Chinese cuisine, you can use them to scramble eggs.

How to make dried cherry tomatoes

The simplest way is to cut the cherry tomatoes in half, use a small spoon to dig out the seeds in the middle, and place them in a sunny and ventilated place to air dry with the cut side facing up. However, if it is cloudy or rainy and there is no time to dry them, they will easily grow hair.

October is usually made in the oven, and the method is very simple. Similarly, cut the cherry tomatoes in half, remove the seeds, and place them on a tray with the cut side facing up. Bake in the oven at a low temperature (100-130 degrees) for 1-3 hours. Finally, take out and place on a curtain to cool.

How to store dried cherry tomatoes

1. Put it in a sealed container and pour in olive oil (the olive oil must cover the dried cherry tomatoes and do not allow the dried cherry tomatoes to come into contact with air). Cover the lid and place it in a cool and ventilated place. It can be stored for about a month.

2. Store in the refrigerator.

It is okay to leave the seeds in the cherry tomatoes, but they are easier to dehydrate if the seeds are removed, which can greatly shorten the preparation time. They are also more likely to rot if the seeds are not removed.

The degree of dehydration can be determined according to personal preference. October is mostly eaten as a snack, so I like to retain some water. Of course, the more thorough the dehydration, the longer the storage time.
