Have you ever eaten kiwano? Do you know what it looks like? Kiwano is a special fruit produced in Africa. It can also be seen in tropical areas such as Singapore and Malaysia. However, for domestic residents, it is a relatively unique fruit. In order to let everyone know more about kiwano, I will introduce kiwano and fruits with similar appearance to kiwano.

Fruits similar in appearance to kiwano

1. The appearance of the kiwano is similar to that of the pineapple. They are both yellow in appearance, but the kiwano has thorns on its surface, while the pineapple has many small holes on its surface. In addition, there are tassels on the top of the pineapple, but the kiwano does not. The flesh of the kiwano is also quite unique, it is green in color and looks translucent, like the jelly that children eat.

2. The appearance of the prickly melon is somewhat similar to that of cantaloupe or muskmelon, both of which are longer oval shapes. However, the prickly melon has thorns on the surface, which cantaloupe or muskmelon do not have. In terms of taste, this fruit is also very unique. Its flesh has a strong gelatinous substance, and when eaten, it feels like a mixture of multiple fruits such as cucumber, banana and lemon, which makes it feel special but not disgusting.

3. This unique kiwano is a multi-purpose fruit. People can eat it directly as a fruit or use it as a decoration. In addition, in Africa, residents there often eat kiwano as a vegetable. Usually, they make it into vegetable salads, and sometimes they slice it and stir-fry it into a variety of dishes for consumption.
