How to store grapes

After buying the grapes, wrap them in paper and store them temporarily in the refrigerator. Do not use plastic bags, as this will cause frost to form on the surface of the grapes (the temperature change in the refrigerator compartment of a home is relatively large), causing the grapes to crack and rot.

The best way to wash grapes:

Step 1: When washing grapes, remove the rotten grapes first, and carefully cut open the junction between the grape stalk and the fruit with scissors. Do not cut through the skin, as it is easy to contaminate the flesh when washing after the skin is broken. Do not leave a small section of the stalk, as grapes with small stalks are difficult to wash and are easy to stab other grapes. Tip: Never pull the grapes from the bunch, as the stalk will bring out the fruit brush in the grape, leaving a hole in the grape, and the flesh is easy to rot. After the stalk is cut, you can see that the junction with the grape is smooth and complete.

Step 2: Put the grapes in a basin, add a little water, squeeze some toothpaste into your hands, rub your hands together, and then gently wash the grapes.

Step 3: Pour out the dirty water and rinse with clean water.

Step 4: Rinse with clean water until there is no foam, then put it into a sieve to drain, then use a flat plate, cover it with a clean towel, pour the grapes into it, about the thickness of a layer of grapes at a time, hold the flat plate with both hands and shake it to make the grapes roll evenly. In this way, the remaining water can be absorbed.

※The entire washing process should be done quickly (within five minutes) to prevent the grapes from absorbing water and bursting, which may cause them to rot easily.

※The above method tries to ensure that the grapes do not come into contact with too much water before eating. Otherwise, the grapes will easily crack and rot, and most of the nutrients and effective ingredients will be lost.
