Cultivation methods and precautions of Guri Fragrant

Osmanthus fragrans is an evergreen shrub with a strong fragrance and can be used for viewing both flowers and leaves. It can be made into a potted plant and cultivated at home. It has a beautiful plant shape, dense branches and leaves, and has a high ornamental value. It can also purify the air and beautify the indoor environment. But how should this plant be cultivated? What are the special things to pay attention to when cultivating it?

Cultivation methods and precautions of Guri Fragrant

1. Prepare potting soil

The preparation of potting soil is very important when growing Osmanthus fragrans. This plant likes slightly acidic soil with good drainage. The soil should be loose and breathable. It should also contain the nutrients needed for the growth of Osmanthus fragrans. When preparing potting soil, it is best to mix garden soil, peat soil and river sand in a ratio of 4:3:3. After the potting soil is prepared, an appropriate amount of ferrous sulfate can be added.

2. Fertilizer and water management

Fertilizer and water management is very important during the cultivation of Murraya paniculata. During the cultivation period, fertilization and watering should be combined. It is best to apply liquid fertilizer every 15 days. In summer and winter, fertilization should be stopped, and in autumn, the time should be extended tenfold, and fertilization can be applied once a month. Murraya paniculata is a drought-resistant plant. Do not overwater it at ordinary times, but in hot summer weather, you should spray water on its leaves in time to increase the humidity of the surrounding air, so as to keep its leaves green.

Precautions for cultivating osmanthus fragrans

1. Appropriate light

When growing Osmanthus fragrans, you must pay attention to moderate light. Although it is a plant that likes sunlight, it only needs 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight every day. However, after the hot summer weather, it should be shaded to prevent strong light from burning the leaves. After the flowering period in Jiuli Township, it should be moved to an environment with sufficient scattered light. After the flowers fade, it can be moved to an environment with sufficient sunlight.

2. Temperature regulation

If you want to eat Osmanthus fragrans, you should also pay attention to the regulation of environmental temperature. This plant likes a warm environment and has poor cold resistance. After the temperature drops in winter, you should move it to a warm environment above five degrees in time. If the ambient temperature is too low in winter, the leaves of Osmanthus fragrans will turn yellow or fall off in large numbers, which will affect its ornamental value.
